So according to The AV Club website, The National is gearing up for another compilation album, similar to 2009's Dark Was the Night but this time it's something a little different. According to the band's bassist, Scott Devendorf, the album will be a tribute to The Grateful Dead, featuring bands like Crystal Castles, Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. While it's a relatively bizzare idea, it'll probably be pretty awesome.

In other The National news, a new song has been floating around the internet. Apparently it's part of the soundtrack for some wonky looking video game called Portal 2.
Here it is:

Pearly like the whi-wh-whites of your eyes.
Well,
It turns out you can watch Coachella live on youtube. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend...
For those of you who miss it, all of the videos should be uploaded later.
Check it out here.

New Brunswickers arise!
Recently, a friend introduced me to this interesting folk band. Originally from Grand Manan, New Brunswick - they now reside in Vancouver and recently raised money to make a full length album, totally by themselves. They have a full EP available to listen to on their website, and you can buy their songs on itunes.
Their website says that they formed after all meeting at St Stephen's University at a very small Bible school. It also says they formed shortly after a UFO event.
Be sure to check out the song New Brunswickers, especially if you're from around there.
